Comfort Ekpe is passionate, focused and experienced in Sustainable solutions in Quality, Safety, and Health and Environmental (QSHE) management in several sectors e.g. Construction, Oil and Gas, Real Estate and Facilities management. She started her HSE career as a QSHE site operative in a multi-billion high risk project and grew to Managerial/Top Management Level before going into full time training, consultancy and advisory service for corporate and private clients for about 10yrs.

She is currently the HSE Director of Acquilla Solutions Limited, independent Occupational Health and Safety Trainer/Consultant and a certified Environmentalist.

She holds a B.Sc. degree in Environmental Protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar, M.Sc. degree in Occupational Health and Safety from the Institute of Petroleum Studies, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She has researched on Safety Culture in selected industries in Nigeria, and on Conservation programs in Nigeria, with prospects to further her education.

She is a member of safety professional bodies amongst which are; Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), National Registry of Environmental Practitioners, IOSH, Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM), specialist member of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), American Society of Safety Engineers, a volunteer Safety Ambassador, Secretary of Safety Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation, and a board Member of HSE Empowerment Initiative.

She voluntarily helps the bottom-line by bringing best practices to the fore which she does through advocacy, career guidance and counseling, as a mentor she is keen on raising the next generation of seasoned safety practitioners in Africa.

She is the founder of the First Solely Health, Safety and Environment job website (www.hsejobsnigeria.com) for Job Seekers and recruiters in Nigeria. As an HSE Career mentor, she receives a good number of mentees daily who receives coaching from her, and she currently gets involved in various voluntary services.

As a social media influencer, she likes to tweet and comment on safety related posts on twitter via @comfortekpe and her interesting posts has endeared about Six Thousand followers to her profile. When she is not working, she relaxes with R&B music and learns the sport of golf.
